About REST

REST is a non-profit organization committed to providing essential services to individuals experiencing homelessness. Our Winter Shelter initiative operates for several months, offering safe and supportive housing for vulnerable populations, including families, veterans, and individuals at risk of homelessness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare the host facility for incoming guests, ensuring all necessary documentation and supplies are ready.
  • Review daily logs and intake information to maintain accurate records and facilitate smooth operations.
  • Coordinate with host church teams to ensure timely meal service and support for guests.
  • Monitor guest participation in assigned chores and ensure compliance with shelter policies.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of guest information at all times.
  • Assist in data entry and record-keeping using various software applications.
  • Facilitate communication between departments to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions and staff meetings as required.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with data management tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.

Compensation

The position offers competitive hourly pay, with additional opportunities for hours during the off-season.
