Family Selection Coordinator

The Family Selection Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director. The primary objective of this position is to educate, recruit, and support low-income families in achieving homeownership through Habitat for Humanity's program. Key responsibilities include:

Educating community members about Habitat Alamance and the potential for low-income families to qualify for homeownership
Recruiting and selecting qualified families in advance of house construction based on need, ability to pay, and willingness to partner with the organization
Providing excellent, compassionate service to families interested in applying to the homeownership program
Coordinating home visits with families to identify housing needs and verify willingness to partner
Tracking sweat equity hours and volunteer coordination

This role requires strong administrative and organizational skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to transforming people's lives through homeownership and have a strong commitment to Habitat for Humanity's mission and values.

Requirements:
Associate degree or equivalent experience
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software applications
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Work Schedule:
24 hours per week, with some evening and weekend work required. Flexible schedule during the summer.
