About the Job: Power Utility Engineer

Overview

We have partnered with a Consulting Engineers for the Utility Industries company in the Raleigh, NC area to provide them with a Project Engineer II - System Planning & Studies.

Estimated Salary: $95,000 per yearJob Description

Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Project Engineer II - System Planning & Studies:

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Two (2) to Four (4) years of applicable experience required.
  • Current Engineering Intern Certification encouraged at this level.
  • Preferred software experience: EMTP-RV; PSS/E; PSCAD; ETAP; SKM; EasyPower; CYMTCC; Milsoft EA WindMil; LightTable; Office Suite.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the continued development of both Company and Client standards.
  2. Participate in Distribution System Analysis utilizing Milsoft Engineering Analysis (EA) - WindMil software for analysis of Voltage, Fault, and Load Allocation.
  3. Participate in System Coordination Studies utilizing CYME - CYMTCC software (Eaton Corp.) to input TCC curves and evaluate selective coordination between Over Current Protective Devices (OCPDs).
Requirements

  • Two (2) to Four (4) years of applicable experience required.
