Job Summary:

Under moderate supervision, evaluates patients, plans and administers patient treatments to relieve pain and restore or improve function, based on physician referral. Provides professional care in accordance with AOTA standards and Maryland State Board of Examiners scope of practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates patients to determine their physical and occupational needs
  • Develops and implements individualized treatment plans to improve patient function and independence
  • Administers patient treatments, including exercises, activities, and modalities
  • Provides education and training to patients and their families on proper techniques and strategies for maintaining independence
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements:
  • Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree
  • Working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field
  • Less than 1 year of experience
  • Maryland Occupational Therapist Licensure
  • American Heart Association CPR Certification
