Job Title: Management Analyst I

Washington County, OR is seeking a highly skilled Management Analyst I to join our team in the Department of Land Use and Transportation. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of land use policies and plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project management of land use ordinance process, including establishing and maintaining the ordinance schedule, assisting planners on ordinance development, and preparing ordinance exhibits.
  • Review, edit, and format staff-generated public notices, reports, issue papers, agendas, findings, and webpage materials for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to departmental AP Style.
  • Assist Principal Planner in development of the biennial Work Program, including tracking public input.
  • Maintain and update County Comprehensive Plan documents when ordinances are adopted, including coordinating with GIS staff on map updates.
  • Compile supportive technical data for comprehensive and community plan development and maintain databases and files for comprehensive planning projects.
  • Perform research on planning-related topics for other team members.
  • Serve as primary point of contact and perform contract management with external hosts of County's Development Code.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, finance, economics, statistics, accounting, or a related field.
  • Two years of responsible professional work experience in administrative, operations, budgetary, financial, or similar analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good writing and editing abilities and advanced capabilities in Word and Excel.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a variety of individuals and groups.
