  • Manage the proper storage and disposal of leftover food items.
  • Operate kitchen machinery, including dishwashers and cooking appliances, with care and efficiency.
  • Report any equipment issues to the supervisor for timely resolution.
  • Perform cashier duties when required, ensuring accurate transactions.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of safety and sanitation in compliance with health regulations and district policies.
  • Understand and apply the guidelines for reimbursable meals under federal programs.
  • Collaborate effectively with a diverse team, fostering an inclusive work environment.
  • Demonstrate loyalty and a positive attitude towards the district and its mission.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities as needed.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Food & Nutrition Managers.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with a demonstrated ability to follow instructions and perform basic math.
  • Effective communication skills in English, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Prior experience in food service is advantageous.
