Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Referral Coordinator to join our team at Rochester Regional Health. As a key member of our Communications Center, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and payers throughout the healthcare experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide courteous, attentive, and prompt service to all stakeholders
  • Collaborate with physician offices and clinical departments to coordinate services
  • Properly utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) to communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and the community
  • Enroll and activate patient portal accounts, answer questions, and resolve user issues
  • Act as a key referral liaison to community provider offices, serving as a primary point of contact for private physicians
  • Ensure work is compliant with all policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Two years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Proficient in the use of computers
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Associates degree preferred
