Job Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
• Accountable for coordinating, instructing, and overseeing the daily functions of a production team comprised of manufacturing operators.
• Facilitate the daily operational briefing for the production team, promote ergonomic practices, and implement job rotation schedules.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and maintain necessary training records for all personnel assigned to the production areas.
• Assist the team in the creation and application of standardized work procedures.
• Execute initial troubleshooting and perform minor maintenance tasks during production downtimes.
• Ensure the team meets daily objectives related to 5S+1, quality assurance, delivery timelines, continuous improvement initiatives, and cost efficiency.
• Propose individual recognition for achievements and contributions to team goals.
• Utilize various problem-solving methodologies (such as the 5 Whys) to drive issues towards sustainable solutions.
• Champion continuous improvement efforts to foster ongoing enhancements within the production areas.
• Guarantee compliance with established policies and procedures at both individual and team levels.
• Lead the team in fulfilling required preventive maintenance tasks.
• Conduct audits and inspections of production cells and follow up on any irregularities; monitor and document team performance.
SHIFT DETAILS:
NIGHT SHIFT - 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM
This role is designated for D shift only.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing setting.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Adherence to quality control standards.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication skills with team members and management.
• Legal authorization to work in the country is required; sponsorship for employment visas is not available for this position.
• Relocation assistance is not provided.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT:
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Over 6 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
• Background in training manufacturing personnel.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement practices.
• Intermediate computer proficiency.
• Strong mechanical skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Capability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance. Must be able to stand for extended periods, up to 10+ hours, and perform various physical activities including pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting, turning, stooping, walking, and standing.
