About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aid to join our team at Arboreta Healthcare. As a Dietary Aid, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing exceptional food service and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in food preparation and serving, ensuring that meals are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
  • Help to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Perform daily or scheduled cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning worktables and equipment, and washing and sanitizing utensils.
  • Assist in checking diet trays before distribution and delivering food carts and trays to designated areas.
  • Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures, ensuring that utensils and equipment are readily available for the next meal.
Requirements
  • Must possess a 10th grade education or equivalent.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must have the ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, and visitors.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and maintain the care and use of supplies and equipment.
