Job Summary

Dow Rummel Village is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in providing quality food to our residents and ensuring a safe and clean food service environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve food to residents, staff, and visitors in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe food service environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist cooks with food preparation, including meal planning, food ordering, and inventory management.
  • Operate cash register, prepare and serve food and beverages in the cafeteria.
  • Deliver bulk food items to nursing units and other dining units.
  • Perform general cleaning and sanitation duties, including sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Assist with food storage, labeling, and rotation.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.
Requirements
  • State of South Dakota Medication Aide License.
  • Previous experience in senior living and/or long-term care preferred.
Qualifications
  • High school degree or GED.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow recipes, directions, menu orders, and work assignments.
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
  • Numerical ability is necessary for recipe preparation and proper measuring of cleaning agents and chemicals.
  • Good motor coordination and manual dexterity are required for various work routines.
  • Able and willing to work flexible hours and must be patient and tolerant toward staff, residents, and family members.
  • Must be able to stand and walk intermittently throughout the working day.
