Job Summary

Southern Illinois University School of Medicine is seeking a skilled Dental Hygiene Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine patients to identify oral health issues and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth to prevent oral diseases.
  • Apply fluoride solutions and medicaments to promote oral health.
  • Make impressions for study casts and remove excess cement from teeth.
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and health.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Dental Hygienist in the State of Illinois.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and provide excellent patient care.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures.
  • Ability to use computer software effectively.
