Job Summary

This position serves as the primary point of contact for the campus community, providing exceptional customer service for all key, lock, and card access related functions within Facilities. The incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day administrative operations of this specific program area, encompassing key and lock control, electronic card access management, work order processing, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and monitor policy compliance for Facilities relative to the campus Key and Lock Policy and Decentralized Electronic Card Access policies.
  • Monitor compliance of rules and processes related to the physical security of the passive campus security systems and provide support for the implementation and expansion of new door access startup projects and systems.
  • Develop and maintain day-to-day work order processing assignments for key and lock personnel, including estimating man-hours required to complete work, assessing and prioritizing work against available priority definitions, ensuring materials are on hand for scheduled work, and proper documentation of completed work in this shop.
Requirements
  • Three years of advanced clerical experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Two years of customer service experience.
  • Two years of experience in electronic record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in common software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated competency in both verbal and written communication.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior work experience in the locksmith trade or electronic access controls industry.
  • Prior work experience with Vanderbilt Software.
  • Prior work experience with WebTMA Software.
  • Two years' work experience in a Facilities, construction, and/or higher educational setting.
  • Two years' work experience providing training services.
  • Continuing education and/or professional development within the last five years.
