Job Title: Transportation Officer with CDL
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Officer with a valid CDL to join our team at I S S Action. As a Transportation Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and secure transportation of detainees in accordance with CUSTOMS & BORDER PROTECTION Performance Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detainees for transportation, including patting them down and applying restraints as necessary.
- Monitor detainees during transport to ensure their behavior is appropriate.
- Secure detainee transfer paperwork and ensure its proper distribution upon delivery.
- Conduct visual examinations of documentation to ensure accurate inventory of detainee baggage and valuables.
- Advise supervisors of CDL and medical certificate expirations at least 45 days in advance.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Sector Manager.
Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must possess a High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Clear criminal history with no felonies or Class A misdemeanors.
- MUST HAVE OR BE ENROLLED for classes and obtain a current/valid Class A or B COMMERCIAL Drivers License with passenger endorsement.
- Must have and maintain a safe driving record.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid Arizona State armed guard license.
- Must pass a background investigation.
- Must obtain a security clearance.
Language Skills:
- Must be able to write clearly and concisely using acceptable grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Must be able to understand and apply written and verbal orders, rules, and regulations.
- Bilingual preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Must pass a DOT physical.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Adapt to temperature changes, including extreme heat.
