Role Overview:
In this position, the selected candidate will support our healthcare professionals with essential medical duties, manage incoming inquiries on the nurse line, assist in patient triage, process prescription refills in accordance with established protocols, provide clinical guidance to patients and their families, and undertake various administrative responsibilities as needed. The working hours for this role are from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care, addressing both psychological and physical needs in alignment with care plans, physician directives, and nursing policies.
  • Assist in the creation and upkeep of personalized, goal-oriented care plans, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the needs of patients and caregivers are met.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient responses to treatments and educational efforts, adjusting care priorities based on patient needs.
  • Administer a wide range of treatments and therapies, including respiratory care, medication administration, and monitoring of vital signs.
  • Support patients and families during their clinical experience, from admission through discharge, ensuring a smooth transition and understanding of care processes.
  • Facilitate coping strategies for patients and de-escalate situations involving anxious or potentially aggressive individuals.

Qualifications:
Education: Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program is required.
Licensure: Must hold a valid Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Carolina and current BLS certification.
Experience: No prior experience is necessary.
