Main Responsibilities:

  • Eligibility Assessment: Analyze various data to determine eligibility for vocational rehabilitation services and develop effective strategies to support clients.
  • Counseling and Support: Provide specialized counseling to clients and their families to promote successful vocational adjustment and create customized rehabilitation plans to meet individual needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other agencies and resources to support client requirements, track progress, and implement rehabilitation plans.
  • Case Management: Manage funds, ensure job placement success, and prepare detailed case reports to monitor client progress and justify expenses.
  • Communication and Reporting: Act as a communication link between departments and external organizations, and prepare reports to monitor client progress and justify expenses.

Qualifications:

Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor I:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  • Expertise: Expertise in case management, vocational rehabilitation, and interpreting rehabilitation laws.
  • Skills: Proficiency in report writing and counseling techniques.

Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor II:

  • Education: Master's degree or higher in relevant fields or Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) designation.
  • Experience: Experience in vocational rehabilitation, analyzing reports, case management, interpreting laws, and health or human services work.

Vocational Rehabilitation Senior Counselor:

  • Education: Master's degree or higher in relevant fields or CRC designation.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in vocational rehabilitation, analyzing reports, case management, and interpreting laws.
  • Background: Previous work in health or human services to improve individuals' lives.
