Job Summary

TRADITIONS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH is seeking a highly skilled Staff Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our addiction services department, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team, utilizing evidence-based medication-assisted treatment (MAT) modalities.
  • Provide medication management and monitoring for patients undergoing treatment for substance use disorders.
  • Offer evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling services to support patients in their recovery journey.
  • Address co-occurring mental health concerns through integrated treatment approaches.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment meetings to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
  • Board certification in psychiatry.
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of California.
  • Experience in addiction medicine and substance use disorder treatment.
