Job Summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine diagnostic MRI procedures, including exams of moderate complexity, with progression towards exams of higher complexity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Imaging Procedures: Perform diagnostic MRI procedures, including common and special MRI exams, to produce high-quality images of body structures and provide insight into the chemical makeup of tissues.
  • Patient Care: Provide exceptional patient care, adhering to MRI exam standards and guidelines established by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily imaging equipment quality control to ensure all equipment is in safe working order prior to use.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient procedures, including exam results and any complications or issues that arise during the procedure.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below.
  • Certifications: ARRT-MR, ARMRIT, CMRT, ARRT-R, ARRT-N, ARRT-SON, RDMS, CNMT, or BLS certification.
  • Experience: None required, but prior experience in a diagnostic imaging setting is preferred.
