We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Technician to join our team at Rivers Edge Hospital. As an ED Tech, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic direct and indirect care to patients, including vital sign monitoring, patient transfers, and specimen collection.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and provide emotional support as needed.
- Perform glucometer tests, monitor fluid and nutritional intake, and document patient information.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and RNs to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in unit/room maintenance, including cleaning and stocking patient rooms, and restocking linens.
- Perform desk/clerical functions, such as answering phone calls, sending/receiving faxes, and arranging patient transport.
- High School Graduate
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic certification preferred
- One year of current experience in a hospital or Emergency Department setting
- BLS Certified
This position is 0.75 FTE, working 12-hour shifts, including every third weekend and every third holiday.
