Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department. The ED Technician will work closely with the ED RN and provider to ensure seamless care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic direct and indirect care to patients, including vital sign monitoring, patient transfers, and specimen collection.
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, bathing, and dressing.
  • Perform delegated tasks at the direction of the provider or RN, including wound care, oxygen application, and splinting.
  • Assist with unit/room maintenance, including cleaning and stocking patient rooms, and restocking linens.
  • Perform desk/clerical functions, including answering phone calls, sending/receiving faxes, and arranging patient transport.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate
  • Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic certification preferred
  • One year of current experience with ambulance service, hospital, or Emergency Department experience within the last three years
  • BLS Certified
Work Schedule

This position is 0.75 FTE working 12 hours shifts, including every third weekend and every third holiday.
