Position Overview

Role Summary:

The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for conducting sonographic examinations focused on obstetrics and gynecology for clinical evaluation and diagnosis of health conditions, working under the general oversight of the attending Physician at Central Carolina Hospital. The technician will adhere to established departmental protocols, policies, and standards of practice while performing these procedures. High-level disinfection of ultrasound probes will be executed in accordance with departmental guidelines. The role requires the exercise of professional judgment in service delivery and maintaining a demeanor that reflects medical ethics. Patient assessment and monitoring, along with the provision of appropriate care, are integral components of this position.

An Associate in Applied Science in Medical Sonography is required or must be obtained within six months of hire.

Licensure Requirements:

American Heart Association BLS certification is required within thirty days of hire.
