Quality Control Specialist

About the Role:
The Quality Control Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the quality of our products by conducting inspections and testing activities at various manufacturing stages. This includes incoming, in-process, and final release inspections. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Conducting visual, dimensional, and functional verifications of products to ensure they meet specifications.
• Recording inspection results and completing appropriate documentation.
• Assisting in the notification of non-conforming products or processes.
• Maintaining control of non-conforming products by identifying and segregating products that do not meet specifications.
• Performing Quality Control (QC) verification of line openings, closing, and subsequent line clearances.
• Recording sample collection in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Performing verification or calibration of measurement equipment.
• Ensuring proper labeling of acceptable material.
• Reviewing supplier certifications/packing lists to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Assisting in the collection of data for certification of finished products.
• Logging, filing, and maintaining finished goods retention samples.
• Assisting with receiving inspection of raw materials using appropriate sampling plans and measuring/test equipment as needed.
• Assisting in all areas within the quality department as needed.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A high school graduate or equivalent.
• Two years of quality experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills to work with coworkers and management.
• Ability to comprehend and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), policies, and procedures written in English.
• Basic mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Basic understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and working within FDA-regulated industries preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to use MS Outlook and automated manufacturing and quality systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work well with others and in a team environment.
• Ability to properly complete paperwork as required according to work instructions, standards, or other specifications.
• Excellent dependability and reliability.
• Willingness to accept change, learn, and work with new processes.
• Familiarity with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and Quality Management System (eQMS) preferred.
