At Infra-Rec, we are seeking a highly skilled Substation Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of substation projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Development: Lead the physical design of high-voltage substations, including the layout of equipment, grounding systems, and protection schemes.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports. Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and in compliance with applicable standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and clients to deliver integrated solutions. Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct site visits and inspections to verify that installations conform to design specifications and safety standards. Address and resolve any technical issues that arise during construction.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Apply innovative solutions to improve design efficiency and project outcomes.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Licenses: Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) certification or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred; Professional Engineer (PE) license desired but not required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation) and analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, CYME).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of IEEE, NESC, and other relevant standards and codes.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively present complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
