Job Title: Plant Manager

Perdue Farms is seeking a strong production leader to join our team in Salisbury, MD. As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction in the production and maintenance operations to ensure timely and cost-efficient production and distribution of Company products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and manage operating and capital budgets to maintain a competitive position in the industry.
  • Meet facility operational plans to ensure yield, birds per man hour, pounds per man hour, line efficiency, CSI, QI requirements are met.
  • Develop and implement processes to reduce turnover, improve safety results, and create a positive working environment.
  • Provide training to improve supervisory skills of staff and hourly production associates to maximize individual and team efforts.
  • Develop new ideas and methods to improve operational performance and product quality.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Agriculture, or related discipline.
  • 5 years related work experience.
  • Computer literate with skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven track record demonstrating ability to lead people and get results.
  • Ability to think ahead and plan over a 1 to 3 years' time span.
  • Strong customer orientation and excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements:

May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies, and equipment. When in a plant environment: exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
