Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiology Technician to join our team. As a Radiology Technician, you will be responsible for performing fluoroscopic procedures, preparing patients for radiologic examinations, and operating radiologic machines to produce high-quality images.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform fluoroscopic procedures for patients of all age groups, adhering to professional radiology practice standards.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic examinations by explaining the procedure, removing articles that may interfere with x-rays, and positioning them correctly.
  • Operate radiologic machines to produce high-quality images, including x-ray films and fluoroscopic images.
  • Assist in fluoroscopic work, including making clinical photographs of unusual cases and identifying photographs.
  • Maintain equipment and quarters, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and surround exposed areas with radiation protection devices to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure.
  • Keep records and files, and make reports as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the Florida State Department of Health Services.
  • Two years of experience in radiologic techniques and methods, under an accredited medical radiologist.
  • Successful completion of a two-year training program in radiologic technology approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association, in collaboration with the American College of Radiology.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of email systems, such as Microsoft Outlook, sufficient to communicate with internal and external contacts.
  • Knowledge of Word and Excel sufficient to create simple documents, enter data, copy or cut and paste data, and print results.
  • Knowledge of WebMD and Intergy system sufficient to perform review and data entry, preferred.
