Restaurant Culinary Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Culinary Manager to join our team at 99 Ranch Market in Irvine, California. This role is responsible for leading the culinary team in preparing high-quality sushi dishes, managing food safety standards, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the culinary team in preparing fresh sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and maki rolls, using high-quality ingredients.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and stored in compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock of sushi ingredients to support uninterrupted service.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and support other culinary tasks as needed.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a sushi chef or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of sushi preparation techniques and presentation.
  • Excellent knife skills and a solid knowledge of fish handling and preparation.
  • A strong focus on quality, presentation, and cleanliness in all aspects of food preparation.
  • Good interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is $25.00 per hour, based on industry standards and market rates in Irvine, California. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include education, skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, and life insurance, 401(k) retirement savings plan with up to 4% company match, long-term service award, employee discount, and paid time off.
