Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Elderwood at Grand Island. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing speech-language therapy services.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide speech-language therapy services to residents, including individual and group sessions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate with physicians to develop treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including progress notes and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in staff meetings and in-service training to stay up-to-date on best practices and new developments in the field.
Qualifications:
  • M.A. or M.S. degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Clinical Competence Certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
