Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to established laboratory protocols for specimen management, testing, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards including CLIA, HIPAA, and OSHA.
  • Conduct analyses using validated testing methods and review results for accuracy.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all testing activities and quality control measures.
  • Identify and resolve issues that may impact test performance, notifying supervisors as necessary.
  • Participate in training and educational opportunities to stay current with laboratory practices.
  • Engage in safety training and understand the use of safety equipment.
  • Assist in inspections by regulatory agencies as required.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • Eligibility for national certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
  • A minimum of one year of clinical laboratory experience, particularly in high complexity testing.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with laboratory information systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
