Member Services Ambassador

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Member Services Ambassador to join our team at the Santa Barbara Zoo. As a key member of our Membership Department, you will provide exceptional service to our members and guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all who visit our zoo.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process membership applications, renewals, and changes, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of membership transactions.
  • Assist with membership billing and accounting, collaborating with other departments as needed to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Facilitate member entrance into the zoo, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all guests.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, word processing, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
  • Prior experience in customer service, preferably in a fast-paced environment, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a shared open space environment, with frequent interruptions and interactions with colleagues and guests.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop friendly and productive relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and guests.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality service.
