Job Summary

The kitchen helper/dietary aide will assist the cook in the preparation and service of meals, ensuring that quality food service is provided at all times. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the cook in the preparation and service of meals
  • Prepare and deliver food and trays
  • Wash dishes and clean and sanitize the kitchen according to health standards
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions
  • Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures
  • Positively represent HCSG by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, and client staff
Requirements
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Perform routine, repetitive tasks daily
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Specialized training in food service desirable
  • Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
