Key Responsibilities:

  • We will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to manage patient care, communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members, and educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and disease management.
  • You will be responsible for evaluating patients with respiratory conditions, developing and adjusting individualized treatment plans, providing respiratory therapy treatments, administering medications and oxygen therapy, performing diagnostic tests, and monitoring patients' vital signs and response to therapy.
  • Safety and quality assurance is a top priority, and you will participate in quality improvement programs and identify and correct safety hazards in the work environment.
  • We require a strong knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation, proficiency in using respiratory therapy equipment, and in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the cardiopulmonary system.

Requirements:

  • Education and certification: Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in respiratory care, with experience in acute care, intensive care, or long-term care settings being advantageous.
  • Skills and knowledge: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team, and excellent computer literacy.
