Key Responsibilities:- Patient Preparation and Imaging: Screen patients for any precautions or contraindications before MRI procedures, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
- Procedure Explanation and Preparation: Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients for optimal imaging.
- Scan Performance and Quality Control: Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body, adjusting scan parameters as needed to ensure high-quality images.
- Record Keeping and Maintenance: Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS) and ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
- Equipment Maintenance and Safety: Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers, and ensure equipment is in good working order.
- Department Support: Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual, monitor medical supply inventory, and request supplies as needed.
- Training and Development: Assist with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records.
