Job Summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Preparation and Imaging: Screen patients for any precautions or contraindications before MRI procedures, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
  • Procedure Explanation and Preparation: Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients for optimal imaging.
  • Scan Performance and Quality Control: Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body, adjusting scan parameters as needed to ensure high-quality images.
  • Record Keeping and Maintenance: Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS) and ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Safety: Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers, and ensure equipment is in good working order.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Department Support: Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual, monitor medical supply inventory, and request supplies as needed.
  • Training and Development: Assist with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records.
