About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our client's team in a production or industrial setting. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring that equipment and facilities are in top-notch condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Utilize a computerized maintenance program to manage stock supplies and maintain accurate records.
  • Equipment Specification: Specify equipment for upgrades and repairs, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine tasks such as lubrication, dismantling, and cleaning of parts, overhead hoists, and conveyor belts to prevent equipment failure.
  • Fabrication and Repair: Demonstrate general fabrication skills, including welding, torch operations, and following simple blueprints to repair and maintain equipment.
  • Troubleshooting: Read and understand blueprints and wiring diagrams to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, and perform necessary repairs.
  • Installation and Layout: Design and install plumbing projects, and layout and install machines without direct supervision.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety protocols and use approved safety equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to Continuous Improvement efforts by following Business Process Documentation and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience: 4 years of related experience in a production or industrial setting.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED required; Bachelor's degree or vocational training preferred.
  • Skills: Lathe and mill experience, ability to read, write, and understand work instructions in English, knowledge of power tools, and welding experience with ARC, MIG & TIG.
