About the Role

Cavender's is seeking a highly skilled Application and Database Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our applications and databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of our Merchandise and Finance applications, including daily incidents, break-fix, vendor management, and integrations to other systems.
  • Ensure databases are robust, secure, and compliant with industry standards.
  • Build upon, optimize, and maintain our SQL knowledge base to automate or delegate regular tasks to other IT resources.
  • Develop and maintain major incident response plans and conduct risk assessments to prevent production outages or business disruptions.
  • Prioritize requests from business partners and reconcile these with Cavender's strategic vision.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in database analysis, query optimization, application architecture, and integrations between critical business applications.
  • Strong knowledge of database and integration best practices, including performance improvement, implementing, and maintaining database health monitoring.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Merchandising systems and application knowledge, financial application knowledge (D365), Service-based integration experience and knowledge (Logic App, Boomi, Azure Service Bus, Snowflake).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), virtualization technologies, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
