Role Summary

Our organization is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care through various specialties, including cardiology and urgent care.
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver both direct and indirect patient care as part of a collaborative healthcare team, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and alongside Patient Care Technicians (PCTs). This role is crucial in addressing the current demands for patient care within our emergency department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with LPN standards and established nursing protocols - 40%
- Accurately document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) under RN supervision, including vital signs, medication administration, and patient assessments - 15%
- Work collaboratively with RNs and healthcare team members to ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients - 20%
- Prepare and administer medications safely to assigned patients - 10%
- Conduct standard diagnostic procedures such as EKGs and phlebotomy, and collect specimens as required - 5%
- Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients - 10%
- Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to team-building activities - 3%
- Maintain clinical competencies and participate in mandatory educational programs - 2%
Qualifications:
- Current LPN license
- Completion of an accredited LPN program
- BLS certification
- 1-2 years of recent nursing experience preferred
- Knowledge of infection control practices and critical thinking skills
- Familiarity with EMR documentation systems
Work Schedule:
Full-Time, Evening/Night Shift, 36 hours per week
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Working Conditions:
- Requires significant manual dexterity and physical effort
