About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at The Arora Group. As a Clinical Operations Coordinator, you will play a critical role in coordinating complex clinical operations at our facility in Tacoma, WA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients within the scope of your practice and perform functions in accordance with current accepted practice, licensure, certification, credentialing, and/or competencies.
  • Perform sick call, assessing and treating acute problems using nursing protocols and referring patients to advanced practice providers, physicians, behavioral health providers, and/or dentists as appropriate.
  • Perform physical examinations using established tools for gathering subjective and objective data, referring patients to medical providers, dental providers, and/or behavioral health providers as appropriate.
  • Provide clinical supervision to Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurses and unlicensed assistive personnel, as assigned.
  • Administer medications as ordered, using various routes such as oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, topical, ophthalmic, and other enteral and parenteral routes.
  • Perform prescreening and intake screening of patients newly arrived at the facility, using established intake tools for gathering subjective and objective data, and referring abnormal findings or responses to medical providers, dental providers, and/or behavioral health providers as appropriate.
  • Perform various treatments such as wound care, vital sign checks, electrocardiograms, etc., as ordered by medical providers, dental providers, behavioral health providers, or registered nurses.
  • Collect laboratory specimens and perform point-of-care testing or prepare specimens for laboratory processing, taking appropriate action on lab results received.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and render emergency care to stabilize patients and prevent deterioration, and transfer patients to appropriate levels of care.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an associate, baccalaureate, or graduate nursing program for Registered Nurses located in a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. Territory accredited by The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Minimum one year of professional experience as a licensed registered nurse in a hospital, medical office, or residential setting.
  • Experience in a detention/correctional healthcare setting is preferred.
