Residential Assistant Full Time Position

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is a leading non-profit social service agency serving Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties.
Job Summary:We are seeking a Full Time Residential Assistant to join our Pathways to Housing Program in Newark, NJ.
Key Responsibilities:- Follow proper risk management and safety procedures, including the use of warning signs and clean up procedures.
- Demonstrate understanding of cleaning agents, their proper application, and directions for utilizing them.
- Demonstrate competencies for infection control and safety, including standard precautions, wearing gloves, hand washing, proper cleaning techniques, and hazard communications.
- Immediately report safety issues or other job-related concerns to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean environment in a timely manner and follow established routines.
- High school diploma or GED and 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
- OR 3 years of experience working with the homeless population in lieu of a HS diploma or GED.
