Job Title:

Customer Care Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Customer Care Associate to join our team at the Potter League For Animals. As a key member of our operations team, you will provide exceptional customer service, support animal adoption, and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance to customers visiting the Potter League, including adoption counseling and facilitating visitation between customers and animals.
  • Receive stray/owned animals and answer incoming phone calls, providing information about the League's programs and services.
  • Prepare animals and their paperwork for adoption, surrender, or pickup.
  • Counsel and screen potential pet adopters, explaining organization policies and procedures.
  • Participate in creating an environment that is welcoming to all members of the diverse community we serve.
  • Maintain lost and found records and work to match missing animals.
  • Provide quality customer service, ensuring accurate information is provided, calls are answered promptly, and messages are returned appropriately.
  • Responsible for accurate money transactions, retail sales, crate rentals, and donations.
  • Perform a wide variety of computer entry and clerical duties, including maintaining office files and preparing reports.
  • Ensure all opening and closing duties are completed, including cleaning public areas, reconciling financial reports, and maintaining accurate data entry.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods, with a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
