Position Summary:
The role of the Analytical Chemist involves conducting a range of quality control assessments to evaluate the strength, identity, and purity of various samples and materials. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing analytical tests in accordance with established protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct sampling and perform physical and chemical analyses on raw materials, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and finished products using a variety of techniques, including HPLC, GC, and UV-Vis, adhering to compendial standards.
2. Independently manage the inventory of testing reagents and solutions, ensuring all necessary supplies are available for efficient testing.
3. Execute testing protocols to meet specified timelines, performing complex analyses with guidance as needed.
4. Accurately document all data and results in compliance with established procedures, ensuring clarity and precision in reporting.
5. Prepare and review standard operating procedures (SOPs) and test protocols as required.
6. Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments under supervision, ensuring optimal performance.
7. Assist in troubleshooting and investigations, collaborating with supervisors to resolve issues.
8. Adhere to all regulatory and internal requirements, including safety protocols and good laboratory practices (GLP).
9. Review analytical documentation as necessary.
10. Uphold the principles of quality culture in all activities.

Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, preferably with a focus on Chemistry. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector, including 2-4 years in analytical testing, is required. Familiarity with generic pharmaceutical practices and good documentation practices is preferred. Candidates should possess strong decision-making abilities and a capacity for rapid learning.

Physical Requirements:
Laboratory technicians must be capable of bending, twisting, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Compliance with personal hygiene standards and the ability to wear protective equipment is essential for maintaining a safe working environment.
