Job Title: Financial Aid Officer

South College is seeking a highly motivated and organized Financial Aid Officer to join our team at the Knoxville Campus. As a key member of our Admissions Team, you will play a critical role in helping students achieve their career goals.

The Financial Aid Officer will be responsible for assisting students with the financial aid process, including counseling, documentation collection, and award setup. You will work closely with students, parents, and other college staff to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Counsel students on federal aid eligibility and application processes
  • Collect and verify student documentation, including financial aid forms and tax returns
  • Set up and manage student financial aid awards in our administrative software
  • Certify eligibility for grants, scholarships, and loans from federal, state, and private sources
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Financial Aid or Assistant Director of Financial Aid

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, business, finance)
  • Experience in financial aid or a related field (e.g., accounting, management)
  • Knowledge of federal financial aid regulations and Title IV practices
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
