About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Job Description

The Surgical Technician will be responsible for preparing the operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies. They will ensure that all equipment and instruments are in good working order and pass them to the physician during surgery. The Surgical Technician must continually account for the number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies
  • Evaluate and maintain the quality of equipment and instruments
  • Pass instruments to the physician during surgery
  • Account for the number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery

Requirements

To be successful as a Surgical Technician at UCHealth, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 months of experience as a Surgical Technician or graduation from an accredited Surgical Technician program
  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision
