About the Role

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Applied Scientist to join our team in building a world-class advertising business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and applying advanced machine learning and statistical techniques to drive business growth and improve customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical efforts in machine learning and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Design, prototype, and test hypotheses in a high-ambiguity environment
  • Develop insights from large datasets to improve shopper experiences and merchandise sales
  • Drive end-to-end machine learning projects with high degrees of ambiguity, scale, and complexity
  • Build and deploy machine learning models into production, working closely with software engineers
  • Establish scalable and efficient processes for large-scale data analysis and model development

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building machine learning models for business applications
  • PhD or Master's degree with 6+ years of applied research experience
  • Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related languages
  • Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning
