Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Server to join our team at Donohoe Hospitality Services. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take Orders and Serve Food and Drinks: Take orders from guests, serve food and drinks, and fulfill requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Greet Guests and Provide Excellent Service: Greet newly seated guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, and provide exceptional service throughout their dining experience.
  • Merchandise Menu Items: Merchandise menu items, such as appetizers, entrees, and desserts, to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
  • Input Orders into POS System: Input orders into our point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of Hotel Services: Have a thorough knowledge of our hotel services, including amenities and offerings.
  • Follow Alcohol Awareness Procedures: Follow our alcohol awareness procedures to prevent intoxication of guests.
  • Attend to Guests' Needs: Attend to guests' needs throughout their dining experience, ensuring their satisfaction and comfort.
  • Maintain Table and Station: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and equipment.
  • Total Bill and Present Check: Total the bill accurately and present the check to guests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain Accurate Exchange of Currency: Maintain an accurate exchange of currency, handling cash and credit transactions efficiently.
  • Keep Station Clean: Keep the server station clean and organized, including utensils, equipment, and supplies.
  • Communicate with Supervisor: Communicate with supervisors and management promptly and effectively, reporting any issues or concerns.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Work Rules and Policies: Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including those contained in the employee handbook.
  • Accommodate Fluctuating Business Demands: Accommodate fluctuating business demands, working varying shifts and schedules as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous Restaurant Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests and colleagues effectively.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Organization and Time Management Skills: Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
