Job Summary:

As a Bartender at Benihana National Corp, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences while accurately preparing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. You will follow standard recipes, mix ingredients, and prepare cocktails and other drinks. Additionally, you will offer and serve food items to guests, collect payment for drinks served, and maintain the bar area clean, sanitary, and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve beverages to guests and servers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Follow standard recipes and mix ingredients to create cocktails and other drinks.
  • Offer and serve food items to guests, including appetizers and entrees.
  • Collect payment for drinks served and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain the bar area clean, sanitary, and organized, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks to meet guest demands.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in bartending or a related field.
  • Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry required.
  • Strong ability to handle money and proficiency in operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Basic understanding of beer, wine, spirits, and sake required.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism when interacting with guests and dealing with guest complaints.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during stressful and/or busy times.
  • Must be certified in Responsible Alcohol Service by applicable agency.
  • Ability to walk, sit, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older, or in accordance with state law.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
