Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the psychosocial concomitants of illness and trauma, and provide social work services to patients and families to optimize their ability to benefit from treatment.
  • Develop and maintain current knowledge of local, state, and federal services that may provide resources to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and families.
  • Provide trauma and grief counseling to patients and families, and develop strategies to promote resilience and coping skills.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, and maintain accurate records of patient interactions and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)-accredited college or university.
  • Florida Licensed Social Worker (LCSW) or working towards becoming LCSW.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong knowledge of psychosocial and care coordination services, with a focus on child and family services.
