- Electrical: Repair, replace, or install power switches, breakers, wall sockets, ceiling lights, and climate control systems.
- Drywall repair: Fill in small holes caused by nails and minor dings from normal wear and tear.
- Painting: Perform minor touch-ups following damage repair and new coats of paint applied to common and clinical area walls.
- Equipment repair: Repair, replace, or install refrigerators, vacuums, floor buffers, and microwaves.
- Grounds keeping: Trim grass, pull weeds, trim and prune trees and shrubs, sweep or rake leaves and debris, and tidy ground covering.
- Cleaning/housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized appearance in common and clinical locations, including lobbies, waiting rooms, exam rooms, lunch room, and hallways. Clean fixtures, floors, and other surfaces to maintain infection control standards. Operate floor cleaning equipment as necessary.
- Snow removal: Shovel, blow, or plow snow away from covered walkways and lay down rock salt atop icy surfaces to prevent slipping.
- Customer service: Provide professional, prompt, and courteous correspondence with all patients, staff, and visitors.
- Time management: Work independently, schedule time and projects based on scope and urgency.
- On-Call: Respond to emergency calls outside normal operating hours and scheduled shifts.
- Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.
- Safety awareness.
- Ability to work with hand and power tools.
- Fundamentals of electricity.
- Good time management.
- Fundamentals of electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems and equipment.
- Ability to lift more than 50 lbs.
- Ability to work on-call, nights, and weekends.
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
- Minimum 5 years in commercial and residential maintenance with a certification in a trade skill or minimum 7 years commercial and residential maintenance.
- Good computer skills.
- Good communication skills.
