Job Title: Swing Shift Behavioral Health Technician

At Holman Recovery Center, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team in a swing shift role. As a key member of our treatment team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with substance use disorders in their recovery journey.

Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Technician will provide personal guidance and support to clients, assisting them in identifying treatment needs, developing and maintaining individual treatment plans, and promoting their engagement in treatment. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal guidance and support to clients, including living skills, case management, and social support.
  • Complete daily record keeping as directed by the Clinical Director.
  • Develop and lead educational groups to help clients regain skills needed to reenter the community and improve psycho-education related to their needs.
  • Provide oversight to clients during housekeeping, meal service, and daily activities.
  • Perform related work as assigned, including assisting staff and clients with laundry, dishes, housekeeping, and garbage disposal.
  • Identify verbal and non-verbal cues for potential aggressive behavior and apply de-escalation techniques to the situation.
  • Perform basic medical tasks, including obtaining and documenting vital signs, collecting urine samples, weighing clients, and exhibiting a willingness to learn additional tasks.
  • Transport and supervise clients to appointments and activities.
  • Organize and facilitate recreation, physical fitness, and leisure activities.
  • Provide information to the treatment team to inform treatment decision-making.
  • Link clients to available resources in the community post-treatment at Holman Recovery Center.
  • Assist clients in crisis situations involving social, emotional, health, and other problems.
  • Respond to calls at Holman Recovery Center.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or associate degree is required, with at least one year of experience relevant to the primary responsibilities of this position.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks is critical.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and support to clients is essential.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information is required.
Benefits:

Holman Recovery Center offers a competitive salary range of $31,200, commensurate with experience, as well as medical, dental, vision benefits, and a retirement plan to all employees working at least 40 hours/week.
