We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Novant Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments
  • Record patient information, medical histories, and test results
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments
  • Perform routine EKGs and document results
  • Collect and process lab specimens
  • Provide patient education on office policies, medications, and disease management
  • Assist with administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records
Requirements
  • 3 years of previous medical/physician office experience preferred
  • Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
