We are seeking a dedicated individual to maintain the overall cleanliness and hygiene of our community spaces and resident suites. This role is crucial in ensuring that all areas are ready for occupancy and showcasing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Uphold the mission and values of Byron House in all actions and decisions.
2. Maintain a clean and sanitized environment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
3. Perform routine cleaning of outdoor areas, including patios and tables, on a weekly basis.
4. Ensure the front entry is cleaned twice daily, in the morning and afternoon.
5. Clean common areas daily, adhering strictly to policies and procedures.
6. Public restrooms must be serviced every two hours or more frequently as necessary, ensuring no cleaning supplies are left unsecured.
7. Vacuum and wet mop dining areas after each meal service.
8. Assist with the upkeep of dining room furniture, ensuring cleanliness on a daily basis.
9. Manage inventory and assist in the procurement of cleaning supplies and approved chemicals.
10. Ensure that all rooms are cleaned and prepared for showing within 24 hours of vacancy.
11. Communicate with the Assistant Director each morning to assess immediate cleaning needs.
12. Collect and dispose of trash in resident units daily and in common areas twice daily.
13. Conduct regular cleaning of light fixtures and ashtrays as per guidelines.
14. Water and care for indoor plants.
Daily Maid Service:
1. Provide daily maid service for all suites, including making beds and emptying trash.
2. Conduct thorough weekly cleaning of suites or more frequently as required, following Byron House policies.
3. Clean all bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, floors, and showers.
4. Empty all trash receptacles.
5. Dust surfaces, ensuring to move items for thorough cleaning.
6. Collect and wash dishes and glasses in the kitchen.
7. Change towels and bed linens regularly.
8. Dispose of newspapers and magazines unless specified otherwise.
9. Inspect and maintain furniture condition, cleaning and rotating cushions as needed.
10. Vacuum rooms thoroughly, moving furniture at least once a month.
11. Clean window sills, blinds, and windows.
12. Report any unusual situations to the Assistant Director promptly.
13. Complete required checklists for living areas.
14. Dust all surfaces, including electronics and mantels.
15. Spot clean as necessary and maintain cleanliness of baseboards and kitchenette areas.
16. Ensure all countertops are disinfected and floors are swept and mopped as needed.
17. Address resident concerns related to housekeeping or laundry services.
18. Participate in special community events as required.
