Position Overview:
The Commissioning Lead Engineer will primarily oversee commissioning tasks related to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and DC Fast Charging (DCFC) systems. This role entails significant travel to various project sites, with expectations of 70 to 80% travel.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, coordinate, execute, and document all commissioning activities, including pre-commissioning, construction, testing, energization, and project closure for BESS and DCFC systems, adhering to EnerSys and client specifications.
2. Review engineering documents, wiring diagrams, and schematics prior to project initiation.
3. Conduct troubleshooting and problem analysis for protection and control systems associated with BESS and DCFC equipment, addressing issues such as application errors, wiring discrepancies, and equipment malfunctions.
4. Lead on-site functional performance testing for various systems, including battery storage and power conversion.
5. Participate in project meetings, contributing to discussions on planning, progress, and lessons learned.
6. Prepare comprehensive reports detailing project progress, challenges, recommendations, and test results.
7. Develop project-specific testing and commissioning plans, ensuring all high-risk activities are documented and managed effectively.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in electrical, or equivalent experience of 5 years.
- In-depth knowledge of power conversion equipment and control systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in conveying technical information.
- Ability to collaborate professionally with design and construction teams.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Current eligibility to work in the US and a valid driver's license.
- Capability to conduct site inspections and fieldwork, including lifting and maneuvering through construction sites.
- Flexibility to travel and work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
