We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in our critical care and acute care units. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Job Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Collect patient health data, perform initial assessments, and record relevant data on the nursing component of the Interdisciplinary Admission Assessment.
- Care Planning and Implementation: Develop a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes, collaborate with the patient, family, and healthcare providers, and implement the plan of care for each patient.
- Education and Health Promotion: Provide education to the patient and family utilizing the educational assessment, recognize hazards to patient safety, and take action to maintain a safe environment.
- Documentation and Communication: Document the patient's response to interventions and revisions to the plan of care, communicate with and include the patient, family, and other healthcare providers in the evaluation process.
- Education: Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through completion of a two-year training at an accredited School of Nursing.
- Licensure: Current New York State license or Permit as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Skills: Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients and their families, practice reflects customer service excellence, ability to clearly communicate in verbal and written format, analytical ability to assess and develop solutions to clinical situations or unit problems.
